Your First Visit

We want to make sure that your first visit is a smooth transition. During your first visit, we want to get a chance to know you. Be prepared to answer some questions that pertains to your medical history so we can prepare a customized treatment plan. We may request you to provide medical records, such as diagnostic test results, or imaging results, such as X-rays and MRIs from any previous medical facility.

There is certain information within your medical history that is very vital to us. It could provide some important clues that will allow us to properly diagnose your problem or give us a clue on whether you have or had any of the following:

  • Bone disorders, such as osteoporosis
  • Circulatory problems
  • Heart conditions
  • Infections (especially those affecting your spine)
  • Injuries, such as bone fractures, muscle sprains, or disc injuries
  • Joint disorders
  • Sleep apnea

How will my first visit go?

Go to our Online Forms page to download preliminary forms that we will need to start your file process. Upon entering the office, you will supply these forms to the receptionist for filing. There are some internal forms that we will need for to fill out to start your evaluation process. Once this process is complete, then you are to see the Chiropractor to start your consultation, examination, x-rays (if necessary) and treatment plan.

Consultation

Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Charles Wilkerson to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Charles Wilkerson to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.

Examination

After your consultation, Dr. Charles Wilkerson will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes and flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as well. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent.

X-Ray Studies

If necessary, we may need to take X-rays of your any pained location that was discussed during your consultation and examination with Dr. Wilkerson. The X-rays will help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignment and degeneration themselves.

Report of Findings

Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, Dr. Charles Wilkerson will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:

  1. How can you help me?
  2. How often do I need to come in?
  3. What will my treatment cost?

After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and X-rays, Dr. Charles Wilkerson will discuss recommendations and notify you if your condition requires care with other providers. Dr. Charles Wilkerson will provide the best treatment and wellness program for your needs.
